Partners & Supporters

Tandana wishes to thank the following for their partnership and support:

Alpha Formation Traduction et Conception Documentaire au Pays Dogon
AFCTD-PD is a technical linguistic service in Bandiagara, Mali that we partner with on our women's literacy program. They create literacy and numeracy booklets and other training manuals  in the Tommo So language (none of which existed before), train our literacy instructors, conduct evaluations, and provide recommendations for program improvement.

Dining for Women

Dining for Women is a global giving circle dedicated to transforming lives and eradicating poverty among women and girls in the developing world. Through member education and engagement, as well as the power of collective giving, Dining for Women funds grassroots organizations that empower women and girls and promote gender equity. Tandana is deeply grateful for DFW's generous grant, which will make possible the Women's Literacy Program in Mali for 2016-2018.

Fundación Vista Para Todos

Of all the patients we see through our Health Care Volunteer Vacations, a large number require follow-up for more in-depth vision exams and treatment.  We bring them all to Vista Para Todos.

Google Ad Grants

The Tandana Foundation is a recipient of a Google Ad Grants award. The Google Ad Grants program supports registered nonprofit organizations that share Google's philosophy of community service to help the world in areas such as science and technology, education, global public health, the environment, youth advocacy, and the arts. Google Ad Grants is an in-kind advertising program that awards free online advertising to nonprofits via Google AdWords.

Ologuelemo Environmental Association

Ologuelemo is an association of 13 villages in Wadouba Township, Mali that seeks to protect the local environment, reverse deforestation processes, and promote soil fertility.  We have partnered with Ologuelemo since before its inception, collaborating on environmental initiatives.

Kawsaymi

Kawsaymi is a cooking school just down the hill from Tandana's office in Panecillo (Ecuador), which was started by one of our scholarship families. We bring almost all of our volunteer groups here because the food and location are amazing, and so are the owners.  All told, the chance to cook together at Kawsaymi makes for a memorable afternoon.

The Traveling School

The Traveling School offers teenage girls ages 15-18 the opportunity to explore the world and learn about themselves through academic, physical, and cultural challenges. We partner with them when they bring groups to Ecuador, but our relationship extends far beyond that.  Anna Taft, Tandana's founder, initially worked for the Traveling School, and with them, set up her first project in the community of Agualongo. The success of this project is what inspired her to launch Tandana.

Tools With Impact

Tools With Impacts mission is to combat poverty in developing nations by providing underserved students with the necessary school supplies and equipment needed to attend and succeed in school. Tools with Impact has graciously funded Tandana projects in both Ecuador and Mali.

Unión de Comunidades Kichwas Otavalo y Campesinas de Quichinche (UCINQUI)
UCINQUI is our major partner in Ecuador. We have supported their tree nursery with  infrastructure and volutneer hours, and they help us navigate the bureaucracy that is necessary for our work. And this is no small task.

Vital Edge Aid

Vital Edge Aid is a humanitarian micro-aid organization and a key partner for our work in Mali.  Vital Edge initiated the Savin gs for Change Program and they've been involved in the women's literacy program since the beginning.  They have also donated funds to support smaller projects such as cotton banks, and they continue to engage with us in planning and implementing new initiatives.
